Instrument Machining Service Ltd (I.M.S) was founded in 1950 and is a Precision Engineering company. We specialise in the manufacturing of Aeronautical and Motor Sport components to customer drawings / requirements using CNC machinery, including CAD CAM technology.

I.M.S to date has close to 70 years’ experience, highly skilled staff and we have worked on some impressive projects. We hold approvals for military and civil aerospace industries in particular. I.M.S is an EN 9100 Rev D & ISO 9001:2015 registered Company of which Details of approvals can be found on the "Oasis" data base (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) via www.iaqg.org (International Aerospace Quality Group) Web site.

Some of the many parts that we manufacture include Nuts, Bolts, Washers & plates made from bar & sheet metal. Other components include: Grub Screws, Fasteners, Adaptors, Covers, Pistons, Jacking Domes, Spherical Bushes End Caps, Lock Rings, Spring Guides & Bushes.

We also modify parts to customer requirements, which include drilling, wire locking holes, shortening parts & re-machining.

Other services available include centreless grinding (which includes Bolts, Pins, Dowels, Bushes & Raw Material Bar), IMS is also able to Billet material on our CNC Saws.
